Job Description
Duties:
- Responsible for not limited to maintaining and timely researching the following: tax filings, payments, and resolving issues for all client payroll taxes.
- Reconcile withholdings of employee & employer federal, state, and local taxes using MTD, QTD & YTD payroll registers
- Prepare & submit withholding tax returns to federal, state, and local authorities timely based on filing deadlines established by authorities.
- Reconcile all federal, state, and local accrual accounts on general ledger ensuring all withholdings from payroll subsystem and all payments from AP subsystem are posted to G/L properly.
- Create magnetic media files of wage reports for submission with unemployment tax returns to tax authorities.
- Assist with preparation of Forms W-2 and W-2c as needed.
- Prepare and submit amendments of tax returns as necessary.
- Issue duplicate W-2s as necessary.
Qualifications:
- MS Excel: Create pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- 1-3 years of payroll or payroll tax experience
- Experience with Paycom is a plus but not required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
