Job Description
HR Additions has partnered with a mission forward company in search of a Payroll Specialist. This role is direct hire and offers a hybrid work model.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely processing and recording of time for multi-state payroll for 1000+ employees.
- Manage the processing of bi-weekly disbursement of payroll, including garnishments, benefits, and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws.
- Compile, balance, and ensure compliance requirements are met for additional earnings submissions, time corrections, and rate overrides submitted from multiple locations, validating results in payroll system.
- Manage regular preparation of relevant management reports, including bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports as needed.
- Process Payroll Journal Entries out of ADP after each payroll.
- Assist with ensuring systems are set-up and updated to reflect our current employee base, including wages, benefits, PTO, Supplemental Bank in line with contracts and offer letters.
- Support payroll and system projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Work successfully as part of a team and responsible for developing then maintaining strong working relationships with co-workers.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and training as required.
- Perform special assignments, projects, and other duties as required.
- Perform day-to-day payroll functions, including, but not limited to, processing new hires, transfers, terminations, leave events and performing benefits and tax procedures.
- Process checks and vouchers each pay period; sort and distribute payroll check registers/checks to facilities each pay period.
- Assist the payroll team in running and reviewing audit reports, helping to obtain timecard approvals, and assisting with timecard edits.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Requires a minimum of 3-5 years of payroll experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
- Experience with ADP Vantage or ADP Workforce Now is a plus
